You may know him from his appearance on the reality TV series, The Glee Project

Where he stole the judges’ hearts with his rendition of the Dreamgirls super ballad, “And I Am Telling You”

While dressed in drag.

In fact he was so good, that Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, decided to write him into the show, even though he didn’t actually win the competition

Because he’s Ryan Murphy and he can do that.

And thus… UNIQUE was born.

Unique is flawless

Her singing voice is like a combination of Jennifer Hudson and Jesus (because no one actually wants to sound like Fergie)

In fact, she’s  such a good character that she was promoted from a recurring character to a series lead.

She’s one of the first transgender characters to be a lead in a cable TV show. Which is beautiful because it highlights a portion of the population that gets very little visibility.

“Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s Maybelline”- no bitch was definitely born with it. I mean look at that face.

And girl be rocking that bob. Rock it, girl.

She’s also the sassiest diva on television.

She understands that style is everything.

And she knows how to WERQ that runway.

But most importantly, she shows us that we shouldn’t be afraid to be who we’re meant to be.
